Since our inception in 1976, Houston Parks Board has added approximately 14,000 acres of new parkland and greenspace to Houston’s park system, and completed more than $115 million in capital improvements to new and existing parks and greenspace. Using both private and public funding, Houston Parks Board is dedicated to creating, improving, protecting, and advocating for parks and greenspace throughout the region in an efficient, effective, and sustainable way.
