Phoebe Tudor completed nine years of service on the HPB Board of Directors in June 2024. Throughout her tenure, she served as a member of the Communications & Community Engagement Committee, as well as the Development Committee. Phoebe was known as an active and passionate Board member who contributed her expertise to a wide range of HPB initiatives.

Phoebe is an active community volunteer, advocating for parks and quality-of-life causes in Houston for over a decade, receiving awards, appointments, and recognitions for her work as a philanthropist and preservationist. Notably, she founded and is currently Chairman of the Astrodome Conservancy. Phoebe has also led notable boards throughout the city, including the Houston Ballet and Hermann Park Conservancy. Arts and education have also been one of her lifelong passions. Phoebe’s extensive work with local organizations resulted in special recognitions and selections to arts and education committees by the two previous Houston Mayors.

Her insight as a board leader and a stalwart advocate for a more resilient Houston has enriched HPB over the past nine years:

  • Upon joining the Board, Phoebe quickly became one of the driving forces in bringing Bayou Greenways to fruition.
  • Phoebe contributed to the creation of the Art Bike Parade & Festival. She enjoyed serving as a judge during the 2022 parade and seeing the creative art bikes made by the community.
  • Phoebe was a member of the Landscape Architecture Selection Committee for MacGregor Park. Her expertise in historic preservation, architecture, and parks was an asset in helping the team finalize the selection of Hood Design Studio.

She also enjoyed working closely alongside the other terrific HPB Board members and staff during her time. HPB is grateful for Phoebe’s insight and contributions over her remarkable tenure. Cheers to Phoebe for her lasting commitment to building a better Houston for all!
