Houston Parks Board has partnered with the Association of Washington Avenue Neighbors (AWAN) to improve Nellie Keyes Park through reforestation, tree watering, better drainage, and beautification throughout the park. Thanks to nearly $6,000 in private donations and our partnership with the Houston Parks and Recreation Department, Urban Harvest, and Trees for Houston, 35 new trees, including 10 fruit trees, have been planted.
